ABOUT US
Who are we?
LinQ for Life, Inc. is a nonprofit organization founded in 2014 to increase health literacy around HIV, STIs, and substance use, and to connect people to the care and support they need. Over the years, we have expanded our services beyond HIV to address broader health and wellness needs in marginalized communities, while building micro‑enterprise initiatives to help sustain our work.
We provide peer-to-peer capacity building, mentoring, and community-based health education, along with HIV/STI awareness, screenings, testing, and condom distribution. As we grow, our goal is to build strong collaborations with national organizations, local agencies, and public health partners to extend the reach and impact of our programs.
Our mission is to reduce HIV, STIs, and other health disparities—such as Hepatitis C and tobacco use—among marginalized communities. Our vision is to create and sustain links to a greater quality of life for the people and neighborhoods we serve.
Through our programs, we offer health education, training, counseling, testing, linkage to care, and outreach services, including culturally appropriate campaigns and messaging. We aim to increase access to culturally competent information and services, increase the number of individuals who know their status and are engaged in care, and shorten the time to viral suppression for people living with HIV.
Our Philosophy
-
We believe in a holistic approach to health education, prevention, and support.
-
We recognize HIV and substance use disorders as manageable, chronic conditions.
-
We acknowledge the impact of racism, sexism, heterosexism, homophobia, classism, and other forms of discrimination on health and well‑being.
LinQ for Life believes that ending the HIV epidemic by 2030 is possible—but only if we close the gaps in access to prevention, treatment, and support. Closing this social justice gap means empowering people to obtain the preventive and wellness services they need to stay healthy and connected to care.
Misson.
Our mission is to decrease health disparities while addressing the broader determinants of wellness in marginalized communities.
Vision.
Create and sustain links to a greater quality of life.
How we pursue this vision
We aim to offer peer-to-peer capacity building, mentoring programs, and expanded testing and resource distribution opportunities. As we grow, our goal is to build dynamic collaborations with cross‑disciplinary partners, community agencies, and public health entities to strengthen the systems that support community wellness.
